Job Description

Our client is a multinational household name in computer processing, a reputed company in the midst of some tantalizing, bleeding edge work with significant real-world implications. The successful candidate will play a key role in their Wireless IP team to design, test, and bring high quality ICs to production. 

Job Description
  • Design and/or lead a chain of RF transceiver building blocks in deep sub-micron CMOS process.  This includes developing various calibration schemes and verifying the design to ensure robust performance for high-volume production.
  • Collaborate with various design teams (applications, system, software, baseband, digital) to define/review circuit and calibration design specifications.
  • Perform reviews on circuit topologies, schematic design, post-layout simulation and verification plan.
  • Layout critical blocks and/or supervise layout.
  • Conduct lab measurement and debug, root cause analysis and design-vs-silicon correlation.
  • Provide support for tape-out verification and production.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum MSEE with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in designing various mmWave/RF integrated circuits such as PA, LNA, Mixer, RF VGAs, Phase Shifters, Transformers, Combiners/Splitters, Frequency Dividers, VCO, PLL and LO Distribution circuits, etc., in deep submicron technologies.
  • Able to comprehend RF transceiver system requirements and translate them into circuit level specifications.
  • Deep understanding of mmWave/RFIC circuit design, sub-micron CMOS device physics and modeling, transmission lines, RF inductors/transformer/capacitor/resistor modeling, impedance matching, packaging effects, supply isolations and RF layout techniques.
  • Familiar with IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, SpectreRF, ADS, EMX, HFSS, Virtuoso Layout, Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX, Matlab and Verilog.
  • Direct experience in IC bring up, debug and characterization using RF lab equipment and/or wafer probe tools.
  • Experience with wireless consumer electronics products using WiFi/WiGig/BT/Cellular is preferred.
