A leading Government Agency is seeking an experienced Claims  Management Specialist to process, investigate and resolve escalated complaints with the intent of offering strategies and solutions to drive sustainable case management practices.

Key Responsibilities:- 
  • Process, investigate and resolve written or telephone escalated complaints pertaining to claims or policies
  • Interpret and apply relevant sections of legislation, policy, contract and or other operational guidelines to resolve complaints 
  • Provide clear consistent guidance to stakeholders by recommending solutions to enable resolution of complaints
  • Make judgements and decisions on when to advise management in relation to emerging issues detected during their dealings with Agents and providers
  • Resolve problems requiring practical application of knowledge exercising initiative and judgement 
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:- 
  • Demonstrated practical and technical knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation Claims
  • Ability to respond and resolve escalated complaints in a Workers Compensation insurer environment
  • Identify procedural failures by way of detailed analysis and interpretation of claims investigations
  • Address underlying problems identified throughout the investigation and devise action plans to support sustainable return to work solutions
  • Demonstrate the application of conflict and dispute resolution processes
  • Participate in a team based environment
  • Provide necessary support including composition of briefings, submission and or other correspondence 
  • Excellent relationship management, interpersonal and leadership skills
