Job Description

Working for a leader in IT Managed Services, this newly created role is responsible for leading the technical sales process and driving forward new business, acting as the trusted advisor to customers and new prospects.

Role responsibilities;
  • Partner with Sales team to engage with both new customers and prospects, whilst ensuring everyone has a great understanding of the customer's environment and future business needs
  • Lead technical whiteboard sessions with the customer and maintain a high level of technical expertise in your area of specialisation
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends whilst providing training and education to the sales team
  • Deliver customer documentation (RFIs, quotes, SOW addendums, PCRs etc) and ensure pricing reflects the Cost Model

To be successful in this role, you must have;
  • Demonstrable experience in a strategic and consultative presales position, with a proven track record in new business sales
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a presales position
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to effectively communicate with C-level stakeholders
  • Solid experience working in solution design and architecture and an understanding of professional sales methodologies
  • Previous experience working with IT vendors or Channel partners, with strong knowledge across the infrastructure domain (virtualisation, backup, storage, network and security)
  • Experience owning and running tenders and the ability to produce proposal documents and solution diagrams
