Job Description

Our client is a specialised Government body who provides services to disadvantaged communities, individuals and families in NSW. This client is seeking an experienced Project and Administrative Support officer who will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department.

The purpose of this role will be to provide high quality executive, project and administrative support to enable the efficient operation of the business unit 

Key responsibilities and duties include:
  • Drafting correspondence, briefing notes and reports
  • Assisting with grants and project work 
  • Research and collating information 
  • Assists in the development of presentations 
  • Reviews and tracks incoming correspondence 
  • Phone based client contact 
  • Monitors the performance of administration and project services in terms of meeting the Unit's needs
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties as required to support the delivery of the project as directed. 

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Demonstrated Project Coordination skills ideally in a Government environment 
  • Experience in writing and editing with a good eye for detail 
  • Demonstrated research and analysis skills 
  • Trim experience preferred 
  • Intermediate MS Word and Excel
  • Broad experience in providing executive, secretariat, administrative, financial and related support services
  • Good organisational skills, the capacity to undertake and complete several tasks concurrently, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines/time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal written and communication skills
