Level 1 Service Desk Support Coordinator

We are looking to hire an exceptional Service Desk Support Coordinator to support an extensive domestic and global customer base. You will be part of a 24/7 Service Desk and on roster.

As a Service Desk Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing excellence in customer experience and ensuring that customer issues are managed through to resolution by coordinating with all parties involved.

Skills and experience required;
  • Proven direct customer relationship and expectation management skills;
  • Highly developed and effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in IT/Telecommunications industry;
  • Exposure and understanding of the requirements of a 24x7 Service Desk operation, including notification, escalation and coordination of resources;
  • Demonstrated ability in fault logging and ticket management;
  • Exposure to or have an interest in technologies including Sun, HP, EMC, NetApp, IBM, Cisco, Quantum and Dell hardware products;
  • Advanced problem solving skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio;
  • Exposure to or have an interest in Data Centre services and Cloud hosting environments; and
  • Understands and can articulate the benefits of a shared knowledge base.
