Job Description

Work for a large Australian-owned managed services provider based in St Leonards; this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in IT or someone looking to advance their customer service career in a fun, supportive environment. This is a Helpdesk environment where co-ordinators take ownership over customer ticket resolution and provide outstanding service to every customer.

This is a 24x7 support call centre environment and the successful candidates will be working on a rotating roster on an ongoing casual basis. 

Responsibilities:
  • Provide accurate information and support to engineers as required
  • Provide timely reporting, feedback and documentation to internal stakeholders in line with service agreements
  • Answer incoming calls with empathy, confidence, warm and dedication to demonstrate 100% commitment to issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails in line with agreed requirements
  • Log accurate and concise information into system
  • Prioritise tickets accurately and take accountability for tickets through to resolution

Skills and experience:
  • Proven direct customer relationship and expectation management skills
  • Highly developed and effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in IT/telecommunications industry (desirable)
  • Exposure and understanding of the requirements of a 24x7 Service Desk operation
  • Demonstrated ability in fault logging and ticket management
  • Exposure to or have an interest in technologies including Sun, HP, EMC, NetApp, IBM, Cisco, Quantum and Dell
  • Exposure to or have an interest in Data Centre services and Cloud hosting environments
  • Ability to prioritise effectievely
  • Warm, enaging, personable style and manner
  • Attention to detail regarding data entry and reporting
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to work a rotating roster including night shifts
