Job Description

Join an exciting leading underwriting company who are specialist underwriting arm of Hyperion Insurance group based in Melbourne CBD.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining the focus on customer value and outcomes
  • Organising and facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, showcases and retrospectives
  • Coach the team on agile principles and practices
  • Assisting the Product Owner to prioritise and remove blockers, and manage risks and issues.
  • Defining, measure and report on key metrics such as value delivered and velocity.
  • Liaising with other teams and the wider organisation, to ensure dependencies are understood and managed
  • Becoming a "practitioner coach' for the rest of the BA team, leading by example as a contributing member of the team
  • Assisting in the design of a solution that delivers on business requirements whilst keeping within budget constraints.
  • Helping to coordinate engagement and approval from project stakeholders
  • Creating documentation, designs, flow-charts, and/or mock-ups, as required
  • Supporting user acceptance testing of deliverables.

You will have :
  • At least 5 years in a Business Analyst role
  • At least 2 years in an Iteration Manager role
  • Previous experience of working in the insurance industry
  • Experience in working with geographically distributed teams
  • Excellent leadership skills, including coaching, having difficult conversations and providing feedback
  • Facilitation experience and able to facilitate, or mentor others to facilitate, Agile ceremonies
  • Demonstrable understanding of Agile behaviours, tools and techniques
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to coach individuals and teams in agile thinking and mindset
