The Role 

Our client's division are the primary point of contact for escalation of any contract or commercial issue relevant to the negotiation of amendments to Agreements. This position oversees complex contract negotiations which leads to the implementation of the deal into the business and the management of key stakeholders. 

In this position the successful candidate will thrive under pressure, have the ability to hit the ground running and focus on delivery excellence for their internal customers whilst being financially responsible. 

Responsibilities will include:
  • Lead negotiation of new and renewed contracts including amendments / variations and assist with on-boarding in conjunction with key business stakeholders
  • Review and analyse performance across specific process areas, manage and attend relevant internal and external meetings and collate and look for opportunities to improve contracts/interactions
  • Be responsible for relationship management strategies and be the primary internal escalation point for unresolved issues, in ownership area
  • Coordinate and manage specified claims, variations and unresolved / escalated / potential disputes
  • leading and managing cross-functional and multi- disciplinary teams on key projects
  • Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively drive & instil a high-performing culture with effective management of a geographically dispersed team

To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate:
  • At least 8 years of experience in the telecommunications, construction or similar regulated industry 
  • 8 years of experience in contract and commercial management with direct responsibility for relationship management with external parties 
  • Experience in the structuring, negotiation and management of complex commercial contracts including commercial analysis, reporting and making recommendations particularly in construction or large scale project environments
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to deliver on the strategic goals and imperatives
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law. Commerce/Business, Engineering, Project Management Construction or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to apply effective analytical skills
  • Proven ability to drive towards outcomes effectively, especially in a fast paced, intricate environment
  • Sound project and time management skills, around multiple concurrent projects and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to organise and disseminate relevant information to key stakeholders effectively 
  • A proactive and flexible attitude
