Our client is seeking a Senior Commercial Evaluation Manager to conduct commercial evaluation of channel partner proposals on a day to day basis, operate as a key member of the Commercial Finance team and provide recommendations on Bid Proposals, working closely with Finance, Sales and Marketing and Service Delivery teams to ensure both price and cost modelling is accurate and robust.
The role is available due to an internal secondment and requires you to be available for 6 months
The role will see you responsible for the commercial evaluation and will include providing commercial financial modelling, analysis and advice on complex customer bids; compiling business cases on product; scenario planning analysis; and supporting the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. You will also lead the transformation of the bid process across departments, playing a leadership role.
Accountabilities of the role:
- Produce and review complex Sales/Pricing Proposals and all Capex requests for Fixed products and support areas, including working with the applicable fixed product manager or sales and marketing, where required for Product Governance Team and Investment Committee.
- Provision and maintenance of adhoc financial modelling to enable what-if analysis based on multiple cost drivers as required
Relevant tertiary qualifications, with MBA highly desireable
Qualified Accountant - member of Chartered Accountants in Australia or Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CA or CPA)
15+ years experience in financial & project reporting including budgeting and forecasting
Commercial Finance experience/commercial acumen (negotiation support, scenario planning, issue identification and resolution etc)
Large capital/complex project experience >$100m pa
Excellent analytical skills, mathematical aptitude, strong leadership and strategic thinking
Experience in using budgeting and forecasting tools (pref Hyperion), as well as ERP software (pref Orale ERP)
Must regularly add value through challenging ideas and inputs including how they compare/differ to the Strategic Plan
