About the role

They are seeking to appoint a new Corporate Affairs Manager, due to an overseas transfer within the organisation.
As the Corporate Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for 3 separate areas of the business:

  • Managing the consultation process with key industry stakeholder groups
  • Manage trade and market access activities
  • Manage government relations and statutory requirements and the Independent Review of Performance

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage relevant industry organisations and keep them updated re the latest activities and outcomes
  • Develop and roll out stakeholder management plan and key milestones
  • Attend regular meetings with industry stakeholders and represent the company at key industry meetings/ annual conferences
  • Manage the consultative panel - milestones, consultation and annual planning cycle
  • Provide Strategic Advice to the business on industry and farmer issues - seeking their views of the farmers, industry associations and stakeholders
  • Providing advise and reporting to the GM

Trade and Market Access

  • Managing trade market activities 

Government Relations

  • Support the leadership team to ensure the organisation meets statutory compliance
  • Coordinating day to day queries from government relations stakeholders and prepare contribution to relevant government inquiries and Senate Estimates
  • Represent the organisation at the Communication Manager's forum
  • Provide advice on Government Policy
  • Manage Statutory Funding Agreement
  • Coordinating statutory compliance reporting
  • Manage 3 yearly Reviews of Performance
  • Keep relevant federal government department officials - DA, DFAT, ministerial advisers

Strategic Corporate Communications

  • Support in developing and executing corporate communications strategy
  • Manage annual survey of stakeholders and integrating findings across the business

Project Admin

About You
 

  • You must be able to demonstrate
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, agriculture, business or economics
  • 5 + years in issues and media management, involving intricate issues and challenging stakeholder environments, with demonstrated ability to manage issue risk effectively
  • Experience working in exec level of government preferred
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills 
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage time and priorities
  • Highly developed strategic communications and stakeholder relationships skills at all levels - internal, external, government
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at the highest level
