Job Description

The Service Delivery Manager reports to the Director of Operations and owns the service delivery function for all services in the business. This role is a senior management role and it is expected that the incumbent will set up processes and personnel to ensure smooth operation of all deliveries, including ongoing support once the service goes live.  Service delivery and support are both considered a critical 'moment of truth' for customers and our strategy is to excel in both these areas.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Champion a culture of "delighting' customers, through personal contact and communication with customers
  • Ensures that all deliveries are actively forecasted, planned, and delivered on-time, on-budget, using  formal systems and processes
  • Provide day-to-day line management to staff to ensure good governance of the department, including leave, timesheets and personal development
  • Plans and controls departmental resourcing, working with the regional service delivery managers
  • Oversees field operations providing strong leadership to the Field Service Delivery managers, and Continuous Improvement manager
  • Sets up and manages appropriate partners and vendors for support, as well as delivery, on a national basis
  • Monitors departmental performance and drives improvements in all areas of the business
  • Sets high standards and engages with staff to inspire, develop and grow
  • Ensure we comply with WHS practices for the provision of a safe working environment

 Required Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience within a telecommunications service delivery and maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of telecoms technologies: RF (Microwave, Wifi and LMR), Ethernet, Internet, Public and private Cloud, XaaS
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, partners and vendors
  • Management experience working with skilled staff
  • Valid driver's licence
  • ITIL, MEF and project management certification (PMP, PMBOK, Prince II, Agile)Engineering degree or equivalent
