Customer Support Engineer- MSP environment

Customer-focused Support Engineer required to deliver quality Level 1 and Level 2 support in a NOC enviornment for one of Australia's most prominent Managed Service Providers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Resolve incidents as per SLAs
  • Prioritise incidents and quickly establish whether they can be resolved by the NOC team, or escalated to Senior Engineers
  • Provide level 2 support in Windows File, Virtual Servers and SQL Databases Backups and recovery though Commvault Applications
  • Provide continual technical support in Cloud Managed Service Delivery
  • Perform proactive health checking procedures on network, server, and data replication systems
  • Complete accurate administration and reporting tasks
  • Consistently follow required ITIL processes for incident and change management
  • Background and experience required:
  • Proven Customer relationship skills
  • Knowledge of data centre services
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Server administration experience in Windows 200x, and Active Directory
  • Network administration experience in Cisco or BNT devices
  • Basic administration experience in CommVault backup technologies
  • Knowledge of virtualisation (VMWare)
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting Nimsoft alerts
  • Troubleshooting experience in data replication technologies such as DoubleTake and Fastback
  • Microsoft Server, Cisco and ITIL certification (desirable)
