Reporting to the Triage Team Leader FTTX, the Network Engineer will be part of one of the Customer Connections teams that are responsible for managing on-the-day orders to prevent physical order fall out driving incomplete orders. The order management function covers FTTx technologies including Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Fibre to the Building (FTTB), Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) and HFC services with accountability for driving on-the-day activations to agreed operational levels and SLA's. 

The Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring on-the-day activations are timely managed and resolved, delivered to high quality and driven to completion by use of a number of Service Activation Systems supporting the delivery of Customer Connections.

Requirements for the role
  • At least 2 years' experience in Service Activation / Provisioning or Network Support in outcomes-focused delivery of Customer Service and/or Order Delivery teams, ideally within a high volume environment
  • Proven experience performing Service Activation, Configuration and Testing in a telecommunications /utilities delivery environment
  • Experience with Carrier Ethernet testing (e.g. RFC2544, IEEE802.1ag)
  • Experience with FTTx and Ethernet technologies (using GPON Fibre or copper xDSL)
