OSS Project Manager

The purpose of this position is to provide Project Management services to support the delivery of a key strategic business initiatives as part of Network Operations and Assurance. 
As the Project Manager, you will report into the Program Manager and take accountability for the delivery of one or more complex Telco projects, whether they are stand‐alone or within a program structure.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  • Extensive experience in successfully planning, initiating and delivering large and complex projects with multiple streams - operational technology, performance improvement, organisational and process change;
  • Formulate project plans, statement of works and budgets with relevant stakeholders, and provide oversight and direction of planning through all project stages, from inception to completion, in accordance with agreed scope, timeline, quality and budget requirements;
  • Manage wider project team, including designers, engineers and developers to ensure cross-project dependencies are clearly mapped and managed;
  • Set priorities and allocate resources to achieve agreed delivery objectives;
  • Proactively manage changes in scope and ensure appropriate measures are developed with relevant stakeholders to reassess, renegotiate and re-plan as required;
  • Proactively assess and analyse any risks and issues that may impact project team delivery and develop plans to address or otherwise mitigate them;
  • Participate in business and technical change management forums and provide regular reporting to relevant governance forums;
  • Management of expenditure to ensure alignment with agreed budget cash flow and completion of deliverable and to ensure compliance with financial management principles and organisational policies; and
  • Gathers feedback on project results; analyses feedback and incorporates the lessons learnt into future projects.
Skills and Experience:
The successful Project Manager/s will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications necessary to perform the role:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six or more years of Project Management experience;
  • Experience of managing software development and implementation projects within the Telco space
  • Experience with TSSR & Cybersecurity domain
  • Demonstrated experience applying Waterfall and Agile methodologies using Prince2/PMP to deliver projects
  • Strong leadership qualities, including building and motivating teams and organisational development skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles;
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management;
  • Solid MS Project/Project Scheduling capabilities;
  • A strong skills base among areas such as, financial and budget management and IT governance processes;
  • Project Management - Professional certification or accreditation in project or project management;
  • Experience working with delivery assurance policies, procedures, and principles to ensure compliance;
  • Experience working with administrative processes;
  • Experience working with techniques and approaches related to the development, integration and deployment of project phases;
  • Ability to work autonomously or within a portfolio team to meet objectives; and
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability in developing and publishing project documentation, including, but not limited to project status reports and project management plans.
